Kithsiri Liyanage is an Attorney-at-Law with nearly 15 years of experience, specialising in Civil, Criminal, and Labour Law. His practice also includes customs inquiries and related matters, company secretarial work, and instructing briefs, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance and corporate governance.
An alumnus of Richmond College, Galle, he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (Hons.) from the University of Ruhuna and later pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Rights at the University of Colombo, along with a Diploma in Psychological Counseling, broadening his expertise in legal, regulatory, and human rights frameworks.
Beyond litigation, he is a Notary Public based in Colombo, handling conveyancing and real estate transactions, and advising on corporate structuring, compliance, and trade regulations. He has experience representing both local and international clients in regulatory proceedings and commercial legal matters.
Before entering the legal profession, he worked with Save the Children in Sri Lanka, CARE International, and Handicap International, gaining experience in development, child rights, human rights, and regulatory compliance. His multidisciplinary background provides a comprehensive approach to legal practice, combining legal insight with a deep understanding of governance and compliance frameworks.
